Monday Love!

Happy Monday to all. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. As much as I tried to avoid it I ended up getting the dreaded summer cold. My husband had it and I took as much precaution as I could but I wasn't careful enough. Wyatt got it too but not nearly as badly as I or Jessie.

I was determined to have a good weekend though. Friday night we went to a cook out at a fabulous farm with a beautiful pond with a fountain and a summer kitchen that was fit for a king. It was a really great evening. Saturday we spent the day with my dad and that night we went to two festivals that were going on around us. The Annie Oakley festival and also the Gathering at the Garst. The Annie Oakley festival wasn't very much fun at all. There weren't many vendors and there weren't even very many people there. We had to pay to get in and it was not worth it. The Gathering at the Garst was incredible. I wish we would've went there first cause a lot of things were closed by the time we got there but it was still much more fun. Sunday we had a cookout at my dad's. My brother and his fiancé were there too. It was a busy weekend and full of lots of fun. Being sick sometimes is mind over matter. Wouldn't you know it though I did not take one picture. Sometimes I'd rather just live the moments than capture them.

Anywho, I'm still feeling a little sick but much better after a good nights sleep and a detox bath. Thank heavens. I baked a fabulous zucchini bread. I found the recipe from my pinterest. Here is the link. I hope you all enjoy it.

bloglovin switch. Pregnancy update. Etsy shop. Shop share. Instagram giveaway.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

So I know I'm a little late on this ( okay a lot ) but to be honest I was a little confused by all of the switching and rearranging and all the things that needed done to switch from google reader. I am still a bit confused by it all but I'm learning. Please bear with me. I did abandon my blog a bit and that's all I have to say about that. I'm back and ready for action. ( I think)

In other news, I know I fell off the face of the earth, not really, at the beginning of my pregnancy. I am still pregnant, 25 weeks and 4 days to be exact. And we are having a girl! I wasn't real happy about it at first cause I wanted another boy but we have a name picked out now and I can feel her moving and I'm very excited to have a little pink bundle.

I've also been very busy trying to get my etsy shop opened and tweaked to perfection. I love having a shop and the community. Come follow me. Check out what we have. I'd love to also follow you bloggers on etsy and view all your craftiness in action and perhaps make a purchase or two. Speaking of sales... I've made none. So I would like to make an offer with any and all etsy shop owners. Anyone wanting to share my shop on your blog, facebook, and or instagram I will gladly do the same for you. I believe it is important that we help each other out as much as we can. You can email me or contact me any other way to let me know you've shared and done your part and you have my word that I will do the same for you. All my contact info can be found at the bottom of this post for quick reference.

Moving on. I'm teaming up with Sierra over at nothing but glisten on Instagram for a giveaway from items from our etsy shops. Once Sierra reaches 350 followers on her IG the giveaway will begin. Fiori belle will also be giving something away from her shop which opens August first. Head on over to Sierra's IG shop and give her a follow; don't forget fioribelle and me to get this great giveaway rollin.

Give Credit Where Credit is Due

People take credit for things that they didn’t write and its called plagiarism. People take credit for using someone else’s sayings or buying that pair of shoes they saw a friend wearing and their called a copier. But when people take credit for things in their lives that have happened they are rewarded or someone tells them they’re proud. When really GOD DID THAT.
God puts you in situations that you will succeed in or fail. This is done to teach you lessons or maybe for someone else’s sake. Maybe they will be inspired or convicted through your works. We Christians are God’s hands and feet and he uses us to fulfill his eternal plan.
The big picture is something that only God can see. Our smaller picture is all we have to go by. The rest is FAITH!!! Just like there are two sides to every story, remember that there are two stories when it comes to God and us. Putting your trust in God will strengthen your faith. He knows what he is doing and its going to happen one way or another regardless of what you do. So let God work in your life and the rewards will astound you!
If you are going through a valley and you don’t understand why keep your eyes up! Give it to God. He has it all under control. Trust Him. If you are going through a peak let everyone know that it was by nothing you did. GIVE THE GLORY TO GOD!!!
Have a blessed day! :)
O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord, You hem me in — behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake I am still with you.
Psalm 139:1-18

Baby is the Size of a Grape

Week Nine was such a great turning point. I felt less icky and more like myself. Thank heavens. Week nine was also very busy for me. (hence the extreme lateness of my post) With all the Easter festivities going on and the opening of my etsy shop (see side panel and go for a visit) I had no free time to write this post. Here it is a week later.

How far along: 9 weeks

Total weight gain: To be honest I don't really know because our scale is broken, which isn't really a bad thing. I do know that a lot of my clothes are starting to be snug.

Maternity Clothes: some

Stretch marks: None

Sleep: I am sleeping well but some nights I wake up because my dreams are so vivid and weird also I've had a terrible cold for what seems like forever and sometimes I wake myself up coughing or needing to blow my nose.

Best moment of this week: The sun came out to play and it felt soo good!

Miss anything: I miss not having a cold.

Movement: No movement.

Food cravings: Food in general is not appealing to me lately. I'm eating mostly fruit and whole grain crackers.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not anymore!

Have you started to show yet: Yes a little bit more each week. (duh)

Gender: No clue.

Labor signs: Notta!

Belly button in or out: inn-y

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time.

Looking forward to: knowing if it is a boy or a girl.

Baby is the Size of a Green Olive

I didn't really feel like taking pictures out in the snow this week so next to the cozy fireplace it is. Wyatt had to get in on the action too.
How far along: 8 weeks

Total weight gain: maybe a few pounds

Maternity Clothes: some

Stretch marks: None

Sleep: I am starting to not be so sleepy but I'm still pretty sluggish.

Best moment of this week: I didn't really have any particular moments that had to do with my pregnancy this week but I did get to witness Wyatt saying a cuss word after hearing his papaw saying it. Not really the BEST moment of the week but definitely a memorable one.

Miss anything: I miss sushi. :(

Movement: No movement.

Food cravings: I don't really have cravings per say but I totally only want to eat out. I was the same way with Wyatt. I'm not sure if it is because I just don't want to cook or ... yeah I'm pretty sure thats it.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No actual throwing up but definitely having icky feelings at times. Nothing a glass of water and some rest can't fix.

Have you started to show yet: Yes a little but it doesn't look like a cute preggo belly it looks like a beer belly. They say you show sooner on your second baby than with the first cause everything was already streched out.

Gender: Still no idea but I do still have strong feelings toward pink

Labor signs: Notta!

Belly button in or out: inn-y

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time.

Looking forward to: knowing if it is a boy or a girl so I can stop saying "it". We didn't get to hear the heartbeat at our doc appt Friday. The midwife said it was to soon. :( so I'm looking forward to that still too.
